A short, easy to digest book providing teachers access to a wealth of arts integrated learning activities enabling teachers, with no theater experience, to integrate arts into their curriculum with arts integrated, common core curriculum-based lesson plans.

DEVELOPMENT
WORKSHOPS
I’m a highly effective, certified Talented Theater teacher with seven years of classroom and twenty-five years Teaching Artist experience. As a teaching artist with numerous artist residencies with the Arizona Commission on the Arts, Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and as Founding Fellow of the George Rodrique Foundation for the Arts, Louisiana A+ Schools, I’ve discovered my primary passions are elementary school teaching artist residencies and facilitating arts integrated, professional development workshops for teachers who have no previous theater experience.

Children grades 3-6 are mental sponges. Eager to know stuff. Theater is a perfect pathway to cross curriculum learning by using their favorite tool, imagination.
My three-hour arts integration, professional development workshops are enriched by practices taught at Kennedy Center Artist as Educators Seminars, Planning and Presenting Effective Teacher Workshops, Young Playwrights Inc., Louisiana A+ Schools and techniques developed through years of classroom, arts integrated theater residencies.

My arts integrated professional development workshops, together with my book Theater in the Classroom, will make you a better teacher because your students will become motivated by a new exciting, arts integrated method of learning.
